Job Description
Role purpose:
- IP engineer mainly experienced in operating IP services & nodes of different technologies and vendors with good experience in IP planning and design within a mobile operating company or service provider. The IP engineer will work across different technology teams during the design and implementation of new services and solutions with the responsibility of designing and rolling out IP services.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Involve in the technical assessment, planning and design of IP & Security solutions in a consistent way with the department product catalog, strategy and architecture
- Participating with seniors in the team to gather customer/business requirements and analyzing those requirements from a technical feasibility point of view
- Participate in Technical Migrations according to project demands working with virtual technology teams, different stakeholders from business, technology, operators during solution design and implementation phases,
- Act as technical representative in his area within the project team and competence area to all stakeholders, including the customer and Technology operations.
- Low Level design and Solution Documentation
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in electronic/telecommunications engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the planning and design of large Core IP fixed Networks
- Background in mobile and/or fixed network technology (design, implementation and roll out of services).
- Excellent knowledge in IP routing Protocols (OSPF,ISIS,MP-BGP)
- Excellent knowledge in switching technologies (STP, VTP, VPC, VXLAN).
- Excellent knowledge in MPLS Technologies (MPLS-TE,LDP,VPLS)
- Very good knowledge of CCIE Service provider
- Solid background about fixed network topology and configuration.
- Cisco or Juniper certifications
