Job Description

Siemens and GIZ join forces to implement an innovative public-private approach to demand-oriented occupational training that contributes to improving employability and employment in Egypt.

As part of this approach, Siemens, on behalf of both partners, establishes and operates a joint occupational training center in Ain Sokhna as a sustainable service provider for demand-oriented modular training programs in selected technical fields. It will offer training for employees of different Egyptians companies in the field of energy and other sectors. GIZ and Siemens jointly steer the training center.

Due to its location in the Industrial Park in Ain Sokhna, the training center is close to other enterprises and their employees. These companies are offered to send their staff to the training center for occupational training. The center will provide basic courses as well as specialized further training, simulating real-life conditions, using the latest technology and a variety of teaching approaches. At least 5,500 Egyptians employed by different local companies will benefit from this improved and demand-oriented training.

The training planner will support the implementation of the training commitment towards customers.

LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Training Programs

  • Liaise with training providers and relevant institutions such as awarding bodies and government agencies.
  • Assess training providers and provide recommendation on providers that meet the requirements.
  • Monitor quality of delivery and service provided by the partner colleges/training providers.
  • Keep track of all training interventions.
  • Tailor training programs provided by Siemens global or training providers to match the local needs.
  • Investigate qualifications demand in the market and price limits for commercialized training programs.

Learners Management

  • Carry out regular learner progress reviews for all learners.
  • Provide learners with individual feedback and actions as specified in the assessment plan.
  • Ensure learners progress throughout different educational programs.
  • Facilitate the assessment of learners’ competence to awarding body standards,

Stakeholder Liaison

  • Liaise with all partners involved in the project internally and externally.
  • Liaise with all government entities and the approved vocational training Institutes.
  • Liaise with key Business Divisions within Siemens.
  • Liaise with different calibers of learners (i.e. blue-collars and white-collars).
  • Carry out market surveys and improve demand for provided offerings.

Project Management

  • Guide the project implementation with proper adherence to schedule, budget, and available resources.
  • Coordinate the mobilization of local and international trainers.
  • Coordinate different logistics, facilities, transportation, accommodation, etc. for both trainers and learners.
