Job Description
Business Systems Analyst Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designs new computer programs by analysing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
- Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
- Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements.
- Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Research and compare software needs to make recommendations for company
- Recommend new system developments
- Create guide to system updates
- Address issues of existing systems
- Write, and distribute system specifications
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or IT related field
- 3 - 7 years of experience in business systems analyst
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Visio.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and solid communication with all levels of management
- Able to multitask, prioritize, extremely organized, and manage time efficiently
- Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Self-motivated and self-directed
