Senior Quality Control Tester

Main Job Duties:

• Actively contribute to corporate knowledge base
• Actively participate in company process ( comply with company /project processes).
• Learn and actively and objectively evaluate team members through the company evaluation system
• Come up with the best solution for addressed challenges ( own challenges and project challenges)
• Identifying the most appropriate implementation approach for a given test under the team leader supervision
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Analyze, review and assess user requirements, specifications and models for testability
• Create test specifications.
• Set up the test environment (often coordinating with system administration and network management).
• Prepare and acquire test data.
• Implement tests on all test levels, execute and log the tests, evaluate the results and document the deviations from expected results.
• Automate tests (individually or supported by a developer or a test automation expert).
• Use test administration or management tools and test monitoring tools as required.
• Measure performance of components and systems (if applicable).
• Review tests developed by others.
• Follow and execute diverse tasks assigned by the team leader
• Provide accurate estimations of the deliverables and fulfill them ( time estimation and story sizing)
• Promptly improve areas of weaknesses reported by the team members and team leader
• Learning of new technologies and frameworks in accordance to the project requirements
• Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
• Should be able to adapt to new methods, technologies and platforms to meet the needs of the project
• Work closely with the team members understanding functional and system requirements
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Comply with project plans and industry standards

Senior Level Responsibilities:

• Assure quality control team members are aware of and applying company policy and standards.
• Provide technical support to the quality control team members.
• Participate in design a department/ team annual plan in alignment with the company objectives.
• Give employees the information, technology and reference material necessary to perform their jobs.
• Provide input to the continuous process improvement of test process.
• Prepare proof of concept, conducting assessment and providing guidance in the implementation of testing
• Be a known reference for team members for technical inquiries.
