Job Description
- Design effective budget models for departments and the entire company;
- Review proposed budget submissions from department managers for accuracy and completeness and create a consolidated budget version for management approval;
- Ensure the timely submission of the annual budget and revised forecasts to the CFO;
- Identify and report variances between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting period (Statements of Income and Cash Flows);
- Update the budget model as requested to account for significant changes in the business environment;
- Review, analyze and assist the CFO in writing the commentary (Recommendation) of the monthly financial statements and the related set of breakdown reports;
- Ensure the timely submission of the monthly set of reports to the EXCOM;
- Prepare financial presentations to EXCO, BOD and any external parties; and
- Examine the monthly purchasing (inventory) budgets and issue recommendations to the approval bodies.
- Review open sales orders, and ensure on time closure;
- Ensure the monthly matching between revenue and COGS;
- Review and examine the gross margin for all non-workshop categories and submit a weekly GM Variance analysis report on a product line level.
- Identify the root cause of any deviation of the targeted GM, and communicate to the concerned parties;
- Ensure on time correction of the deviated GM;
- Review non-promotional discounts on a daily basis and submit a weekly report of the variances to the budget identifying the cause of each variance the recommended action.
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience in budgeting and financial modelling;
- 7+ years of overall combined managerial accounting and financial planning / budgeting experience
- Bachelor in Accounting
- CMS
- Thorough knowledge of Management Accounting
- Experience in Retail business
- Experience in ERP systems (SAP Preferred)
- Strong modelling capabilities
- Excellent skills and knowledge in MS Excel and Power point
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
- Strong report writing, analytical, presentation, coaching and communication skills
- High level of integrity and dependability with strong sense of urgency and details & results-orientation
