Job Description

The primary focus of this Digital role is to own the development, execution, and evaluation of digital and online marketing channels for the Group Marketing & Communications function at FAB. He/She will represent the technology agenda in all Group Marcomms and Digital meetings, identifying the right technical expertise (internal and external) for all digital development initiatives from web, mobile, online banking, social and intranet/internal channels, etc for the group. The Digital Channels & Technology Lead will support the SVP, Digital, Marketing & Brand Strategy and CMO, to establish a technological vision to help drive the banks vision to support our stakeholders to Grow Stronger through agility, innovation and differentiation. They should be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of digital marketing and business concepts. Typical activities but not exhaustive:

  • Taking a lead in the bank's digital channel strategy with a focus on marketing channels and key customer facing touch points.
  • Discover and help to implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage or nurture/optimize existing platforms to work harder for the group.
  • Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Work closely (on a daily basis) with the CISO and IT functions to build quality assurance and data protection processes
  • Use stakeholders feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
  • Consolidate our technology platforms and create a plan for each i.e. Website, Mobile, Internet Banking, etc.
  • Identify new areas for digital marketing opportunities and work with the wider digital marketing and comms team to help implement
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership for all digital marketing programs
  • Spearhead IT projects to increase our market reach and improve our USP
  • Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture
  • Set goals to increase brand awareness and increase engagement online at FAB.
  • Monitor and optimise performance to ensure activity meets budgeted targets
  • Analyse and report on results – daily/weekly/monthly as required
  • Manage technical vendors effectively and maintain good working relationships
  • Take the initiative in innovation and creativity
  • Maintain current knowledge of technology landscape and developments
  • Run regular workshops and engagement session with all key internal stakeholders to drive engagement and ensure consistency of messaging from Group perspective. Stakeholders include, CIB, PBG, IBG, IR, Corp Governance, HR, CISO, IT, Corp Services, etc

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a senior technology manager or similar leadership role with a strong technical background in front-end as well as back-end technology for a financial institution – a minimum of 8-10 years of experience.
  • Masters (or minimum bachelors) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or IS Business Systems related is a must.
  • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Solid understanding of marketing platforms, programs and poilicies
  • Hands on experience with developing IT platforms (front-end as well as bank-end)
  • Good understanding of security, information and technical architecture to liaise with expert teams
  • Ability to lead and work with multidisciplinary and virtual teams.
  • Strong knowledge of technological trends to build a robust technical strategy
