Job Description

  • Identifying new markets for exports and developing new business accounts
  • Planning a sales campaign suited to that country and current consumer trends
  • Planning and reviewing budgets for product ranges
  • Meeting with clients here or overseas
  • Negotiating the sale terms and meeting sales targets
  • Organizing licenses and other legal requirements for certain products, such as pharmaceuticals
  • Managing administration, such as orders, contracts and export documents
  • Troubleshooting to sort out any problems with the exports.
  • Responsible for managing the sale of products or services to customers in other countries.
  • Need to develop knowledge of the cultural, business and political background of the countries you are responsible for, together with an understanding of consumer tastes. Then can combine this with the results of your market research to decide what will sell in these countries and how to sell it. must also look for new opportunities to sell to different international markets.
  • It is important that, build up and maintain good relationships with customers, agents and distributors. To do this, negotiate with them (often in a foreign language) to try to make a sale. Depending on the level of responsibility, will often travel internationally, and could sometimes spend weeks away from home.
  • Might have to decide whether the product can be modified to meet the customer's requirements or whether special discounts can be offered. This is usually done after consultation with Product Managers and suppliers.
  • Meet with clients to support and grow sales volume
  • Serve as a secondary contact for international clients
  • May require being proficient in a secondary language
  • Provide leadership and guidance to your customer service, planning and logistics teams to ensure that customers receive their appropriate shipments
  • Work with international brokers who attend international tradeshows and meetings.
  • Work to develop new business and growth opportunities and manage volumes and margins to generate efficiency for manufacturing and margins for earnings
  • Investigate new sales opportunities and actively solicit business from potential customers
  • Utilize in-depth industry knowledge to build credibility and become a trusted advisor with customers both domestically and abroad
  • Negotiate and monitor export rates and services to reduce operating costs and increase profitability
  • Respond promptly to customer complaints and look to find winning solutions.
  • Studying the market in the target country or countries

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics, business, international business or marketing. MBA or other related degree is a plus
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 3 years as Export Sales Manager
  • Knowledge of the Policies & Procedures of Top Executives, Market
  • Solid knowledge of Saudi Labor Law
  • Knowledge of the details of the export business to ensure that government policies, labelling systems, transportation and payment laws are followed
