Job Description

General Overview:

The Supply Chain Professional is responsible for all the supply chain processes in the division including product registration and configuration, procurement, and stock management supported by a strong communication with other departments. His main responsibility is to maintain the required stock levels in all the stores and warehouses in all business lines.

Main Job Responsibilities:

Product Registration and Configuration:

  • Ensure that all the products are registered and updated in all the governmental entities (for example eCosma registration for cosmetics products in SFDA).
  • Ensure that all the products and material are listed in the ERP systems and updated in the stores and warehouses (for example AX and RMS) with the all required information.
  • Revise and be accountable for correct, complete and updated system configurations for inventory records and definitions.

Procurement Management:

  • Plan the annual purchase and usage of products and material for every business line. The plan can be updated as needed throughout the year, but deviations more than 15% are not acceptable. The plan must match the sales targets, CoGS and expense ratios.
  • Make a continuous purchase (usually monthly) for the stock required for all the business lines using advanced forecasting techniques.

Stock Management:

  • Manage the stock transportation process between stores and warehouses to ensure that stock levels are maintained. Special requests from stores, product management, and marketing teams should be considered. The consequences of overstocking or shortage and their business impacts have exponential negative effects on the operations.
  • Respond to stock demand requests and issues.
  • Monitor, control and review the movement journals including expiry, damage, testers, and any other movement types from all stores and warehouses. The goal is to control and minimize the movement journals in order to achieve the business goals.
  • Ensure that business lines are following inventory cycles and closing activities. Counting reports must be verified before final submission since they will impact the business bottom line reports. Liable staff members for any losses or deviation from plans must be identified and held responsible for their actions.

Communication Management:

  • Ensure strong communication with other departments including product management, sales, marketing, inventory, warehouses, logistics, and finance.
