Job Description

JOB PURPOSE :

Manage and control the manufacturing of Sanofi Egypt Non-Sterile products, to meet agreed production plan (targets) within approved levels of cost and quality standards, to achieve department and company objectives and Sanofi global quality and HSE standards

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Delivering products to the market in due time

  • Manage and control the development of production resources and scheduling of work and keep the plant cycle within its target, also to assure the overcome of any potential OOS case to meet with supply chain objective.
  • Discuss and develop weekly production plans with other I.A. departments, through the I.A. meetings.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain to ensure that adequate supplies of raw materials are made available for the production targets, and to adapt to any changes in the plan.
  • Monitor the performance of all non-sterile departments to ensure optimal performance according to GMP and Sanofi standards.
  • Manage MOH logs regularly.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual plans and department budget of both capital and operational expenditure as well as study and initiate a 5-year plan for the non-sterile production department.

Assure quality of product and performance

  • Coordinate with the Engineering department to ensure buildings, machines and equipment are held in good condition that provides maximum efficiency, through implementation and follow up of a good OEE system in place.
  • Customize and follow up the global manufacturing know how of the mother company to the local manufacturing batch record according to the site facilities and upgrading the batch record according to the result received from the validation batch.
  • Monitor and control utilities and environmental factors before, during and after production and ensure adherence to HSE standards and procedures.
  • Increase GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) awareness in all employees within the production department through training, motivation and leading by example

Management of the Production team

  • Enhance the performance of the non-sterile production team whether heads or workers through coaching & training, motivation and delegation.
  • Enrich the skills and breadth of experience of non-sterile production heads through facilitating job rotation in all different units in the production.
  • Set and implement development plans for the production team, through training needs identification, training programs and follow up.
  • Interviewing and selection of new candidates for production unit, according to job specification.
  • Respect of Company’s Values, code of Ethics and Social Charter.
  • Respect the Ethical charter.
  • Respect the personal data protection charter.
  • HSE Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all resources available to promote subordinates safety.
  • Ensure that the HSE policy is communicated to all employees under his control.
  • Ensuring all the statutory legalization concerning Health, Safety and environmental law.
  • Ensuring that emergency situation fully defined and deployment for all employees and everyone know his role well along with periodical drills.
  • Ensuring that the necessary HSE resources are available for the achievement of PASS objectives.
  • Ensure that all departments are involved and represented in the risk assessment team.
  • Ensures the adequate implementation of the Risk assessment, inspections and audits corrective actions at the due dates
  • Minimize the impact on local environment by following approved waste management system.
  • Developing, coordinating and implementing the aims and objectives of strategies and polices to reduce energy consumption.

Job Requirements

Key "MUST HAVE" competencies and Experiences:

  • Bachelor Degree of Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Long technical experience in the Industrial Affairs field (minimum 10 years)
  • Managerial and leadership skills
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Problem solving and Decision making.
  • Planning/ forecasting- long term vision
  • Computer skills: MS Office
  • Awareness of Total Quality Management
  • Good command of English language.
  • Ability to work under pressure

“Desirable” / compromise experience

  • SAP background will be valued.
  • Project Management Diploma is a plus
  • French language is an asset
