Job Description
JOB PURPOSE: Directs the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management. responsible for the company's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the conduct of its relationships with lending institutions and the financial community, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves supervision over general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, and budgetary controls.
Job Requirements
Education: Chartered Accountant.
Experience: 7–10 years overall experience & minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as Finance Manager handling the responsibilities independently.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Excellent written & spoken English.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Skill in examining & re-engineering operations & procedures, formulating policy, and developing & implementing new strategies & procedures.
- Ability to supervise & train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, & scheduling work assignments.
- Knowledge of the state financial regulations.
- Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
- Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting procedures.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting & cash flow forecasting techniques.
- Knowledge of financial / business analysis techniques.
- Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
- Skill in negotiation.
- Planning, development, implementation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
