Job Description

Role synopsis:

Responsible for supporting the development and implementation of effective communications plans, drafting and proof-reading a variety of communications and collaborating with team members to deliver the annual communications plan

Key accountabilities:

  • Manage the BP North Africa C&EA Budget including making sure all Regional budget process requirements are met
  • Management of employee volunteers and third-party vendors relationships
  • Assist in maintaining web content and executing social media strategies
  • Review and send out daily media monitoring reports
  • Assist in managing and organizing external and internal events
  • Lead on the CDD process for BP North Africa
  • Provide administrative support to the BP North Africa C&EA team
  • Manage logistics for the BP North Africa C&EA team including visitors

Job Requirements

Essential experience and job requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Communications Assistant, Communication Specialist or similar role
  • Basic Understanding of media relations and digital media strategies
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP; familiarity with social media platforms is a plus
  • Demonstrated success in a role requiring internal networking and engagement with broad, diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Must be able to manage own time to achieve specified targets and deadlines and must integrate with the plans of others to achieve agreed objectives, targets and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Solid editing and researching skills
  • Excellent communication abilities (oral and written)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • Egyptian Nationality is required
