Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Conducts market research and competitor analysis and identifies points of differentiation.
  • Strategic planning and management of marketing and outreach activities.
  • Monitoring all the eco-system events and recruiting of good teams and startups to join the VC.
  • Responsible for featuring our companies and providing appropriate representation for them to contribute to the overall brand image of the VC.
  • Manage social media for EdVentures across social network platforms on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, set, and monitor performance metrics.
  • Performs and supervises all communication, outreach, marketing, public relations, and media duties related to the incubator.
  • Initiate outreach, interview founders for profiles and cover events for inclusion.
  • Construct quarterly newsletter and annual newsletter for all relevant stakeholders.
  • Find, meet, track, rank, and monitor a pipeline of prospective companies that could be good candidates for support.
  • Establish the Business Development Department and grow its community of sponsors and programmatic support and stewardship functions.

Job Requirements

Skills and Qualities:

  • Bachelor’s degrees in business, marketing, mass communication or IMC.
  • 1-3 years of entrepreneurship or marketing experience (VC, investment banking, private equity, accelerators, or incubators)
  • Previous experience with project management & working with 3rd party suppliers such as training providers, consultancy companies, and individual freelancers etc. is a plus.
  • Excellent ability to read, write and speak English
  • Strong belief in getting things done - it is important to have drive, ownership, and execution. You have to be comfortable working alone and in a group and be capable to prioritize and make things happen.
  • Strong belief and understanding of EdVentures core values – Founder mentality, forward thinking, flexibility & agility.
  • Ability to connect - comfortable in new environments and more importantly loving engaging with new people and circumstances.
  • Creative team player with a good ability of problem solving.
  • Design skills is a highly valued asset!
