IT Specialist Vacancy:
We are seeking to hire a professional IT caliber to lead the Information Technology activities at DKT's Head Office as per the following details:
Designation : IT Specialist
Location : Nasr City
Reporting: IT Manager
Grade: G01/G03
Job Purpose:
IT Specialist role is all about mobile IT Help Desk (end users support) troubleshooting day to day Hard and Software problems encountered by the employees of the HO
A. Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure employees are using their IT Resources in light with the Corporate Acceptable Use Policy
- Keep computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs
- Handle installation and set-up for mobile and desktop employees
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing team to deploy the CRM system
- Support the newly implemented SAP system at Finance Dept.
- Ensure backup systems operate effectively
- Handle employees support calls in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain problem documentations and their resolution procedures for reference procedures.
- Plan and complete daily assigned tasks within deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality and security of company documents and employees
- Report system downtime and performance issues to Manager.
- Install, configure and maintain software and hardware systems.
- Assist in development and enhancement of IT systems
- Assess potential risks and technical challenges and prepare appropriate mitigation plans.
- Analyze system issues and provide resolutions.
- Recommend process improvements to ensure system reliability, stability, security, integrity and performance
- Maintain the company's website and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
- Provide network accounts and passwords as required
- Ensures maximum issue resolutions in minimum time
- Maintain working relationships with vendors and third party providers
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
- Monitor attendance system functioning properly and extract the log on daily basis to report deviations
- Support the IT infrastructure at server’s room and ensure regular maintenance and backups
- Handle network concerns and ensure effective connectivity secured to staff
Job Requirements
B. Qualification/Knowledge/Experience:
- IT relevant degree
- Previous experience of handling the same role
- Understand support problems, analyze problem data and determine appropriate solutions
- SAP previous experience is mandates
- Foundational understanding of Customer Relation Management System
- Relevant high degree in IT related discipline
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software systems and programs
- Understanding of networks, network administration and network installation
- Computer troubleshooting
- E-mail and internet programs
- Customer service: anticipate the needs and expectations of customers
- Able to cope with stress and change
- Impact and influence: the ability to convince, persuade others to a point of view
- Teamwork and co-operation: the willingness to work co-operatively and supportively with your colleagues. Developing positive, open working relationships in order to solve problems and to achieve business goals
