As a Solutions Architect within FORTE CLOUD, you will:
- Have the opportunity to help shape the strategy and enable the broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services by directly working with our key customers.
- Your responsibilities will include owning the technical engagement and ultimate successful production deployment of specific projects
- Defining implementation architectures and provide thought leadership and exceptional technical design capabilities to your customers.
- Developing deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how about how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
- Being a subject matter expert in selected solution areas (e.g. AI/ML, Security, Big Data, IOT)
- Provide thought leadership and exceptional technical design capabilities to your customers.
- You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practices knowledge within the FORTE CLOUD solution architect community as well as with our customers.
- You will also gain the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with some of the brightest technical minds in the industry across the breadth of enterprise computing architecture.
- You will be part of a culture of innovation where you’ll use AWS services to help our customers rapidly get their products and services to market through continuous delivery of modern solutions that are highly scalable, resilient, and elastic.
- You will have the opportunity to design large-scale web and mobile applications using micro-services based architectures to deliver services globally and enable data-driven decision making through big data / artificial intelligence-powered analytics.
- Support sales team qualify leads by using their deep understanding of the product’s ideal customer pain points. They may even have the initial phone or digital contact with leads.
- You will provide technical papers, materials, articles and response to RFI, RFP and RFQ.
- You will provide technical POC (Proof of Concept) to our customers and in our events, seminars, webinars, workshops and training sessions and present and demonstrate our portfolio and services.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications
- Experience in a customer-facing, sales-aligned role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, networking, Linux and Windows OS.
- Technical degree required - Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of the AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
- Experience architecture/operating solutions built on AWS
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort communicating effectively with both large and small audiences to an executive, IT management and/or technical audience
- Strong written communication skills
- Analytical skills and the ability to recognize the demands on the side of the clients
- Ability to estimate the financial impact of various solution architecture alternatives
- Fluency in English in Both writing and Speaking
