  • Our core belief is that by exporting into the developed markets, small and medium businesses will be able to enhance and develop their products and as a result become more competitive in the global arena.

The Opportunity:

  • Cleo Group is looking for a Business Development Manager to join the Egypt team to help the executive management identify and assess new opportunities as well as conduct market research and support the execution process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential producers that fit the Cleo export profile through market research on the ground.
  • Support the head of business development in creating pitch books and due diligence analysis on the potential producers.
  • Support the head of operations with export and logistics management such as shipping and custom arrangements as well as filling for required documents and approvals.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to develop and strengthen Cleo’s current portfolio.
  • Support the branding and marketing department in developing the products in the portfolio

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelors Degree (Preferably with focus in one of the following majors: Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Design, Communication, English major)
  • Fluent English
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 1+ years of relevant experience (preferably in consulting or a business development role)
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Dynamic, entrepreneurial and enthusiastic about growing a business
  • Experience with Photoshop and illustrator is a plus
  • This Role is not a conventional desk job, candidate will be on the ground and client facing during 50% of the job.
  • The role will occasionally involve local and international traveling.
