Director of Product

Job Objective

We’re looking for a product visionary - someone who can take our vision for a more sustainable and collaborative world and translate it into a visually stunning and user captivating product, with mobile always at the forefront of everything.

The Director of Product will be responsible for looking at the dubizzle product landscape and ensuring a comprehensive look and feel. Your product catalogue will span from highly monetizing verticals to those that needs love and care with a high level of user love.

The right individual will have prior experience managing a well-known and highly respected product while inspiring everyone from engineers to marketers to CEO’s

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Make world class products that people will love to use;
• Responsible for managing the UAE product experience and leading a team of experienced product managers. Must have a 3+ years of experience leading a product team across web and mobile products;
• Must be comfortable with reviewing specifications, working across multi-disciplinary teams: design, engineering, marketing and sales to launch core features;
• Exhibit sound product judgment, ability to formulate product strategy and present clear measurable objectives that will lead to achieving our business goals;
• Expected to provide valuable input into business cases based on in-depth data analysis and demonstrate how that analysis impacts key product metrics;
• Manage prioritisation and trade-offs among customer experience, technical constraints and business drivers;
• Expected to develop a deep understanding of our users: their problems, their needs, their desires;
• Proven success developing and managing product go-to-market plans, with responsibility for revenue;
• Strong business skills to manage a product that provides strong data based ROI for internal and external customers (and partners where appropriate);
• Critical thinking including identifying of risks, weaknesses and difficulties;
• Leadership through influence;
• Collaboration to generate ideas, to drive alignment and to get things done;
• Ability to communicate vision, plans and roadmaps to anyone from an engineer to a high-level executive, both visually and in writing;
• Measures success in user constituency, user feedback and business performance with hard KPI’s;
• Always ships product with clear target measureable impacts, and plan for how to measure with quality – always open to unexpected upsides or downsides;
• Demonstrated ability to work with large quantities of information, delivering data-driven solutions;
• Game changing thinking and innovative problem solver that can turn ambiguous problem spaces into clear solutions;
