Job Description
Job Title: Network and VSAT Technical Support Engineer (NOC Engineer)
- The VSAT and Networking Technical Support Engineer is primarily responsible for providing the first level of technical support for products and services. This position will work with customers to assist with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Job Description:
- Maintain Day to Day tasks
- Analyze customer’s problems and issues (1st and 2nd line troubleshooting support)
- Take appropriate action to resolve problems in a timely manner to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Track customer reported problems following ticketing procedures
- Analyze customer’s problems and issues (1st line and 2nd line troubleshooting support)
- Escalate critical or high priority issues immediately to the next Tier of support.
- Coordinate the testing and turn up of service with all involved providers; Initial configuration for Cisco Equipment (router and switches)
- Field engineers remote handling for VSAT (Training applicable) and CPE remotes.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Communication Engineering or equivalent industry experience of 1+ years
- CCNA
- Strong IT and TCP/IP troubleshooting knowledge
- Good knowledge of Satellite communication and VSAT is preferable.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to proactively anticipate customer needs and make recommendations to meet those needs.
