Senior Accountant VACANCY:

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions as per the following details:

• Designation: Senior Accountant
• Job Grade: i07/i08 Band
• Reporting to: Finance Manager
• Location: Nasr City, Cairo.

Job Purpose:

To Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions

A. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reconcile account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures
• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
• Provide input into department’s goal setting process
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Liaise with Financial Manager and Accounting peers to improve financial procedures
• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies
• Summarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the Finance Manager’s attention
• Conduct regular ledger maintenance
