Senior Testing Engineer

Job Purpose:

• Responsible for testing internally developed products/services and ready made solutions, test all the aspects of the product/service and make reports regarding all the changes that are required to save the company from launching faulty products/services. Testing products/services is essential procedure that affect the reputation of the company.

Key job responsibilities

Nature of job impact:

• Understands the scope of projects, works with software developers, project support teams and vendors to identify business/technical requirements to writes and executes test scripts.
• Responsible for stress testing, performance testing, functional testing and scalability testing to make sure that the system is capable to accommodate load of transactions.
• Identifies bottlenecks in existing workflows and provides solutions for a scalable, defect-free application.
• Runs manual and automated tests.
• Tests in different environments including different services platforms.
• Reviews documentation and writes bug reports, assure quality and give feedback to all project stakeholder to take corrective actions if any.
• Writes unit tests in order to increase reliability and quality of applications.
• Addresses system defects and implements enhancements to existing functionality.
• Complies with Company policy and practices relating to the System Development Life Cycle.
• Keeps up on industry trends and current technological standards, languages, coding techniques, utilities and operational considerations.
• Provides mentoring, training and technical guidance to junior developers and assists in training other programming or support team members in a cooperative and effective manner.
• Works with project management team to suggest testing tools, new methodologies.
• Responsible for budgeting new test environment.
