Job Description
The Role
Management reporting, variance analysis and month end close
- Support weekly forecasting submissions: identify and highlight business risks and opportunities with major focus on expenses
- Own monthly financial reporting to senior management and functional leaders
- Coordinate month-end close activities including analysis of variances versus OP and forecast and journal entry preparation for accruals
Strategy and partnership
- Attend weekly/monthly operational meetings with business partners to understand business environment and cost drivers
- Identify opportunities and actively engage in driving process improvements
- Help on ad hoc analysis for finance and operational leadership teams
- Assist with preparation of key pitches for senior management
- Assist in coordinating key planning cycles and key estimates
- Support Pipeline, Programs, and Productivity initiatives, tracking/modeling adjustments to forecast
Finance evolution
- Work closely with finance & operations to drive efficiency and simplification
- Ensure proper controls, procedures, and policies are followed and communicated.
- Process improvement & standardization across markets in AME
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Qualified Accountant (CA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA etc.)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with a matrix organization structure
- Solid finance and accounting skills
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and analytic skills
- A desire to learn about the broader media industry and enjoy a dynamic environment with new challenges and changing work priorities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced and fluid environment
