Job Description

Retail Client Servicing

  • Maintain an accurate, complete, up-to-date and insightful client business plan, included completed monthly service plan, to be shared with Senior Manager and Director when requested
  • Serve as primary contact to senior and junior level clients for basic data issues and queries, report generation, ad-hoc analyses, and understanding and answering questions on content
  • Excellent and strong communication skills up to C-Suite level in the client, and across Nielsen departments
  • Assist in delivering high quality service to retail clients, ensuring the services is timely, according to precise client business needs and specifications, and at the same time meeting Nielsen quality standards
  • An unsupervised on-site presence which includes handling data requests, basic technical support, relevant training and data analysis
  • Winning Partnerships: assisting the Senior Manager in sourcing data by engaging and delivering presentations to non-cooperators of interest
  • Commercial Acumen: approach all client meetings as potential commercial engagements, be able to identify opportunities and respond with demonstrating basic working knowledge of Nielsen solutions, and assist in sales activities e.g. supporting solutions experts on preparation of proposal and credential presentations
  • Highly motivated by client-facing activities
  • Communicate client needs to appropriate team members
  • Analyse the necessary competition and market data
  • Be directly accountable for the work conducted for nominated clients in terms of analyses, charting, data requests and delivering presentations
  • Timely renewal of all contracts, and signing new agreements with retail clients

Job Requirements

Functional & Technical

  • Advanced level Excel and PowerPoint, with high computer literacy skills
  • Advanced presentation and reporting capabilities
  • Basic working knowledge of research methodologies and advanced analytical solutions
  • Being smart, innovative, idealist and sensitive
  • Effective communication, management and interpersonal skills
  • Good negotiation and selling skills
  • A keen eye for developing high quality visual presentations and dashboard reports
  • Perform quality checks on all reports: strives for accuracy
  • Ensure standard operating procedures within area of responsibility are observed
  • Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility
  • Takes ownership of own development and identifies areas where improveemnts can be made

Typical Position Requirements:

  • BA or BS required
  • 3 to 6 years FMCG experience desired (in a marketing, sales or agency environment)
  • Basic working knowledge of data analysis and statistics
  • Fluent in English, and knowing Arabic or Malayalam is an advantage
  • Baseline knowledge of research methodologies is an advantage
  • No limitation for travelling around the GCC region
