Job Description
- Works with Safety Manager and Site Managers to provide support on best working conditions and a safe working environment for all workers in the site.
- Identify hazards in the workplaces.
- Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for compliance with corporate and government health and safety standards and regulations.
- Design and implement workplace processes and procedures that help protect workers from potentially hazardous work conditions.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify their causes and to determine how they might be prevented in the future.
- Inspect specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, and first-aid supplies.
- Help manage the plant safety program.
- Help to facilitate safety committee meetings.
- Conduct safety training sessions.
- Perform safety audits.
- Ensure safety procedures are being followed.
- Reporting to Safety Manager.
- Ensure that all firefighting systems area maintained properly and ready for an emergency.
Job Requirements
- Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Work experience of 2 to 3 years in heavy industries.
- Candidate must have basic training in Occupational Health and Safety – firefighting.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Work well independently and with a team.
- Analytical, organizational and PC skills.
