Job Description
- Develops and maintains both trend and product presentations.
- Manages the design process to ensure that key dates/deliverables are met.
- Coordinates pattern and color development as it relates to the full scope of the project.
- Understands the trend in design and color as it relates to each project.
- Ensures that design requirements meet manufacturing criteria.
- Works with the brands owners on new projects and renovations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts in one of the following disciplines preferred but not required. (Textile design as it applies to applied and decorative art, Graphics, Illustration, Fine Art – painting/drawing).
- The suitable candidate should provide evidence of 3-5 years working experience in the machine woven carpet industry. Preferable but not essential.
- A strong command of the English language is required for this international position.
- Solid evidence should be seen in candidate’s portfolio of ability to draw, non-digitally, ie analytical drawing skills, (still life and figure drawing abilities in pencil and mixed media)
- Candidate should demonstrate through their digital and physical portfolio a strong understanding and ability to use color.
