Job Description
- Monitor, support, and maintain infrastructure including installing, configuring, and updating OS and OS patches.
- Design, implement and support both physical and virtual system
- Install, harden and patch Linux OS.
- Troubleshoot computer infrastructure (servers, workstations, and appliances) and application issues
- Deploy, configure, manage and support web-hosting environments, i.e.
- Apache, Nginx and Load Balancers for production, staging, development and test environment
- Collaborate on all aspects of infrastructure
Job Responsibilities:
- Technologies: servers, networks, storage, databases, and applications as required.
- Installing and administering Network Printing Services and third-party support applications.
- Understanding of Networking/Distributed Computing environment concepts;
- Client/Server Configuration, Network Management, Network File Services, and Network Naming Services.
- Install and resolve hardware problems with network cabling and network devices such as Routers and switches.
- Troubleshooting end-user issues.
Job Requirements
- Experience with Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS/RedHat.
- Proficient in working in a command-line environment
- Knowledge of Linux fundamentals, file systems, networking (TCP/IP), etc.
- Familiarity with Network Device Configuration systems, networking (TCP/IP), etc.
- Systems, networking (TCP/IP), etc.
- Knowledge of common Linux deployed services, such as email, web (apache, nginx), user authentication services, etc.
- Ability to partition disks, create logical volumes, create file systems, mount file systems in Linux environments.
- Understanding basic LDAP and DNS concepts and ability to query these services for information and troubleshoot issues in Linux environments.
- Understanding of Enterprise-level storage concepts to include all commonly-used RAID levels.
- Experience and understanding of networking services consisting of Virtual and Physical network functions.
