Job Description
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problems and outages.
- Schedule updates and upgrades.
- Collaborate with network architects to optimize system performance.
- Engage in data network fault investigations.
- Secure network systems with policies that define and monitor access.
- Report network operation status based on project management and priority information.
Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree in an Information Technology field.
- Minimum of 4 years of prior experience in IT.
- At least one experience in security and network administration
Minimum of 4 years of prior experience in IT.
Cisco CCNP Certification. - Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint). MOS preferred.
- Advanced knowledge in System Administration and/or Network Security.
Advanced knowledge in The latest developments in security threats and protection systems available. - Advanced knowledge in Firewalls - at a level experienced with separating DMZ (Demilitarized Zone), Public Networks, and Private Networks.
- Advanced knowledge in Routers, Switches, and Network Appliances.
- Advanced knowledge in Network Protocols and Port Assignments - TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocols), and UDP (User Datagram Protocols) VLAN isolation and Subnet segmentation.
- Advanced knowledge in Utilizing network protocols: SSH, Telnet, FTP, SFTP, etc.
- Knowledge of the following would be preferred: ( Managing and troubleshooting VOIP Telecom Systems, Managing and troubleshooting Wireless Networks and Cisco call manager/Unity).
