Job Description
- Implement and maintain the multiple Oracle instances that comprise the Oracle environment (development, test, training and production)
- Introduce technical changes into the environment using a structured approach that minimizesrisk and achieves high reliability, availability and performance of each Oracle instance
- Design and implement an optimal Oracle configuration to maximize system performance and availability
- Manage Oracle users, authorizations, and profiles
- Distribute the online Oracle user workload and monitor and manage the Oracle background job workload
- Maintain Oracle performance by planning and executing Oracle tuning strategies
- Monitor all Oracle systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.)
- Administer the Oracle database with Database Administrator (plan and perform database upgrades, apply database maintenance, design and maintain logical database layout, perform database reorganizations, design and implement backup and restore strategy, maintain database security, administer database performance, manage database storage, database
- problem determination and resolution, etc.)
- Participate in the planning and implementation of Oracle system upgrades
- Apply and migrate Oracle maintenance (hot packages and kernel upgrades) through all systems using a structured methodology
- Develop and maintain system documentation for all Oracle instances and interfaces
- Provide status reports for projects, daily, weekly and monthly monitoring reports to management
- The main focal point and the company representative with the technical suppliers in all business aspects related to the environment and any technical discussions
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Education
- Faculty of Engineering (Computer) or Computer Science.
- 4 – 7 years of relevant extensive experience.
- Oracle experience is a must
