Job Description

Job Summary

Nagwa is searching for a localization team leader who will participate in localizing and shaping Nagwa’s products across the globe. They will be responsible for managing and implementing localization for the content of Nagwa’s products. The role requires the ability to work in an environment that is fast-paced and highly dynamic. What is needed to excel in this position is proven diverse experience in technical aspects concerning localization and internationalization.

Responsibilities

  • Managing localization projects from beginning to end and collaborating with our content localization concerned parties to help localize Nagwa's products around the globe
  • Reviewing and tracking the work progress to ensure that the product content is well developed in terms of relevancy, quality, and functionality
  • Coming up with creative solutions to improve the localization process and solving any localization issues, whether system or product related
  • Directing the team’s efforts to ensure meeting the required deliveries/deliverables with respect to the required quality and timeliness
  • Presenting regular reports to stakeholders to communicate the work progress, current status, and forecast and evaluate the needed support
  • Acting as a liaison between the product teams, engineering teams, and the vendors to ensure high-quality documentation of all project-related materials
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of the in-house translation system
  • Managing the team’s productivity and quality and ensuring compliance with the company's policies and regulations

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Solid experience with content internationalization and/or localization
  • Hands-on experience with localization management systems
  • Good understanding of software development
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Scientific literacy is a plus
  • Knowledge of different curricula and educational systems is a plus
