Job Description
- Plan for alignment of the bid packages with the project budget and schedule of the project work packages,
- Management of the Pre-qualification of subcontractors and vendors, set assessment criteria as well preparation, negotiation, award and issuance of the agreements with Subcontractors and Vendors.
- Overall development and execution of the project purchasing plans. Reporting of purchasing status and schedule to the projects team and management on a weekly basis
- Preparation of project purchasing documents including purchase orders for, materials, equipment, services and construction subcontracts.
- Manage all aspects of subcontract administration for the project, from pre-qualification of bidders to execution of signed contracts.
- Provide risk assessment related to the Subcontract activities assumed by the proposed prime contracts provide a procurement strategy for Subcontract execution including risk assessment and mitigation of risk assumed by the proposed prime contracts.
- Prepare and ensure accurate and timely reporting of procurement progress vs. plan through use of the project procurement matrix. Maintains correspondence files required by procedure.
- Optimize and maintain strong supplier and contractor relationships, track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness while Identify new suppliers and contractors.
- Review and Audit invoices for accuracy, Identify and execute cost savings opportunities, stay informed on market conditions affecting costs and product availability.
- Develop supplier performance metrics, oversee tracking, evaluate results, and work with suppliers to improve their performance and regularly communicate with suppliers concerning required products, volume, timing, costs and quality.
- Cooperate with other departments in preparing procurement plan
- Keep record of vendor/suppliers list
- Prepare qualification procedures for the vendors / suppliers
- Provide the organization with ranking reports for the suppliers/vendors in terms of reliability, price, specs………
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering preferred in the Business related field
- Excellent Command on the English Language,
- 6-10 experience in a Procurement / Material Planning Senior role in the construction industry.
- Demonstrated appropriate skills with Software, ERP system,
- Problem Solving and conflict resolution skills
- Strong financial/Analytical Skills
- Self-determination and drive to be able to work independently and guide others
