Chief Accountant

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for managing all activities in accounting department including AR, AP, banking, inventory, taxation, incoming/outgoing payments, costing, budgeting, fixed assets, auditing and reporting.

Accounting Activities:

• Manage all banking transactions.
• Manage account receivables settlements and prepare the cash flow reports.
• Prepare estimate budgets together with the concerned parties, analyze deviations and their reasons and recommend solutions.
• Coordinate monthly closing process and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Record, classify and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with accepted local accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Prepare statements and reports estimated future costs and revenues.

Team Supervision

• Manage and oversee the entire accounting team.
• Set the department’s targets and evaluate the accounting team performance accordingly.
• Administer and ensure compliance with human resources policies and procedures.
• Monitor and assess work and provide feedback.
• Be responsible for subordinates’ coaching, appraisal, motivation and development of knowledge, skills and abilities.

Reporting

• Supervise, prepare and submit all financial and accounting periodic reports and commit to due dates.
• Analyse, create and monitor department’s dashboard and KPIs and report it to management when required.

Rules and regulations:

• Commit to all taxes rules and presents all the taxes declarations on its due dates accurately.
• Ensure all regulatory requirements and company procedures are met and carried out correctly.
• Ensure integrity on all financial information.
• Comply with Proserv's company policy and code of conduct and ethics.
