Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer
An International Engineering Consultant with a great portfolio and completed projects in both the USA & UAE has a job vacancy for a highly motivated and skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in Cairo, Egypt. If you are looking to:

Responsibilities :
- Liaison with Clients, Contractors, design team and third parties
- Offer support and guidance to more junior members of the team
- Working with BIM and Design Engineers to produce relevant structural information
- Effectively manage own time which may be necessary if allocated to more than one project
Job Requirements
- The successful candidate will be a Senior Structural Engineer with a proven track record in the design of buildings and civil engineering or infrastructure-related structures, in reinforced concrete, and structural steelwork.
- Candidates should be practical and demonstrate good commercial skills that will help develop and expand our business in the region.
We are interested in hearing from you. The successful applicant should have:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from a reputable University.
- Preferably Master of Science in Structural Engineering degree or at least has his masters study in progress.
- Chartered status in civil or structural engineering or PE license is preferable
- Experience undertaking the design of building structures, steelwork or related infrastructure.
- Has worked within multi-disciplinary teams, and has been responsible for co-ordination with MEP, Architecture, Utilities.
- Min 10+ years’ experience working on similar projects. The candidate shall demonstrate through his CV the projects he/she has undertaken indicating his main role.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English (clear, concise report writing will be expected)
- A high motivation to succeed, and to progress and develop their chosen careers
- A personality compatible with a high degree of collaborative and team work
- Good judgement skills supported by extensive theoretical knowledge.
- Practical experience of design and detailing to American codes and standards such as ACI, AISC, IBC, ASCE, etc.
- Working knowledge of relevant structural design software e.g. ETABS, SAFE, RAM Structural system, RAMConcept.
- Confidence with developing innovative practical solutions.
- Experience with preparing calculations and structural reports
- Ability to understand, explain, present and solve technical problems
- BIM Experience is a must. Experience with Revit Structures is highly required.
- In addition, the candidate should be a team player with the ability to work as part of a team of experienced engineers and producing high quality, accurate structural designs in a timely manner.
The following items are considered plus requirements:
- Experience with design of Post Tensioned concrete especially with RAMConcept software
- Experience with Precast design
- Experience with Masonry design
