Job Description
- Responsible for medium voltage switchgear mechanical engineering “take measurements for design & modifications and installations and designs parts to include sheet metal, bus, outline drawings, and specifications.
- Develops a bill of materials for medium voltage switchgear and associated accessories.
- Performs reverse-engineering of equipment and components, designs customized modifications to meet application needs.
- Assists in the testing of switchgear equipment.
- Designs & creates detailed assembly drawings.
- Performs calculations relative to short circuit analysis
- Writes technical reports including inspection reports, recommendations, and engineering studies.
- Provide support of equipment installation on project site.
- Supports Studies division in estimation on materials and technical project specification and requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Medium Voltage Switchgears.
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in AutoCAD (Inventor is a plus).
- Experience in Microsoft Suite
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and written
