Job Description
- Implement responsible web design principles to ensure that our company website renders well across multiple devices
- Design a framework for creating user apps that grows with the needs of the company
- Monitor website performance, watch for traffic drops related to site usability problems and rectify the issues
- Review app and feature coding and plan future website upgrades with the development team
- Assist in the development of applications and features that will be put on the website and in internal functions as well
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Design and implementation of data storage solutions
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
- Write clean code to develop functional web applications
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Perform UI tests to optimize performance
- Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
- Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Gather and address technical and design requirements
- Provide training and support to internal teams
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Liaise with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new features
Job Requirements
- BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- 7 years' experience working with Object Oriented PHP and modern PHP frameworks
- Experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, MySQL, SOAP/REST, JavaScript, AJAX, etc. is the must
- experience working with MySQL and writing SQL queries
- experience working with front-end technologies like HTML5, SASS, and JavaScript
- Experience designing REST APIs and A comprehensive understanding of RESTful services.
- Understanding of local development environments and integration of varying components.
- Strong understanding of build processes/automation
- Experience with job queues and background PHP processes
- Experience working with Google Adwords APIs and/or Facebook Marketing/Messenger APIs
