Job Description
- MIS Lead Support Engineer is a vital role for our organization, responsible for managing, maintaining and controlling the company software, hardware and connectivity to ensure delivery services is on track and secure our work and projects.
- Plays an essential role in maintaining the different teams’ productivity ensuring quality and timely execution of the help desk and the other major projects.
- Duties includes managing, installing, modifying, and repairing computer hardware and software systems, resolving computer and network connectivity problems, and providing technical assistance to technical teams.
- The lead position maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards and displays both professional and technical knowledge in providing the assigned responsibilities as listed.
Responsibilities
- Provide support & analysis for the organization systems, operational and technical issues.
- Develop strategies that are to be used in implementation of software and hardware systems in the organization
- Look after the maintenance of the computer systems and make sure that all the departments are functioning properly
- Look before & after the purchase of the software and hardware systems and plan proper budget and quotations for the systems
- Oversee requests, incidents and problems related to Help Desk.
- Coordinates and manage to solve urgent and complicated support issues efficiently
- Develop MIS process improvements for increased efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems/issues.
- Provide technical support to ensure that hardware and software systems are fully functional.
- Manage security administration activities for the company systems.
- Manage and handle the systems upgrades with any new releases & updates
- Create and generate status and performance reports in timely and accurate manner.
- Train the employees in using information systems and help them understand the configuration of the systems
- Manage system maintenance and security activities.
- Participates in the diagnosis and resolution of hardware and projects/production problems.
- Schedules, plans and performs systems upgrades, including coordinating the transition from test to production environments.
- Installs and maintains file servers, workstations, cabling and other network and communications hardware as needed.
- Recommend the best technical requirements to maintain best productivity and work performance
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or any related discipline
- Eight years or more of experience in a Help desk role and/or MIS specialization.
- Should be proficient working with all types of operating systems such as Android, Microsoft, Linux, Unix, DOS, etc.
- Should understand the specifications of the software to be installed in the computers and make necessary pre-installations
- Ability to troubleshoot any kind of systems related problems and maintain security of the systems
- Proficient working with the office applications, ERP software, communications systems, etc.
- Excellent communications skills, with customers, team and stakeholders
- Technology & IT strategy experience
- Customer/Business Support-focused mindset
- Knowledge of related software tools and hardware latest trends.
