About the Job
- We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Web Developer to ensure and maintain DAMLAG's commitment to deliver the best possible quality of software products and services.
- As a Ruby on Rails Web Developer, you will work as a member of our development team to develop and create new products and services, as well as revamp and improve the existing ones. Your role will involve coding and developing for different projects.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, clean, and reliable Ruby code.
- Help maintain code quality and organization.
- Identify code bugs, and work on developing solutions to these problems.
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, refactoring, code standards)
- Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design.
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications and Behavioural Competencies:
- BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- You have worked for at least 1 year with Ruby. We are willing to accept candidates with similar level of experience in other languages as long as they are willing to switch to Ruby.
- A knack for writing “Clean, Readable Ruby code”.
- Linux is a close friend, and Docker is your future.
- Have experience with Agile development or SCRUM framework.
- It is imperative that you be familiar with the following: JavaScript, HTML, CSS & JQuery.
- One of these database systems is your favorite for a reason: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDb, Redis.
