Job Description

Responsible for initiating new proposals of New Products and/or existing Product Development activities to meet strategic goals set by Division Platform Manager in line with Market needs in Egypt country.

  • Translate the Brand Development Plan into a detailed and effective annual Marketing Plan in order to achieve the set growth targets.
  • Coordinates and executes the Division approved on-going development and maintenance of Brand Architecture in order to establish the optimal strategic roles and relationship between the brand and its subordinate components, including brand line extensions, sub-brands, and endorser brands.
  • In line with the approved plan and Budget, Conduct, monitor, analyze and evaluate Marketing Researches aiming at update information and capture insights about market volume, market segmentation, brand share, new consumer needs and wants, and competitive activities, and report findings to
  • Division in order to sustain or improve the development /continuance of Brand Profile and Architecture.
  • Analyzes retail audit and KA sellout data, reports on market share versus competition by area, sector, and channel and monitor their progress periodically in terms of sales, coverage, prices, promotional activities and advertising. And advice corrective action based on weakness and opportunities that were revealed.
  • Support and organize the sampling campaigns in schools, malls and hospital, to achieve new users of our products.
  • Participate in setting the Goals and objectives of the Divisional business plan in terms of monthly volume targets, market share targets, promotion calendar and visibility plans.
  • Constantly monitor and report product line & Brand sales v/s forecast as well as Promotion budget V/s actual expenditures and take corrective action upon findings with the coordination of trade marketing team.
  • Innovates and proposes new product ideas to extend the brand vertically via new SKU’s or horizontally into new categories to meet target market share objectives.
  • Initiates competitive product testing (lab analysis and in-use or panel tests) and evaluation activities that define gaps and opportunities in order to devise a suggested action plan in order to ensure that the product is on target consistent with brand positioning.
  • Handles consumer complaints working with manufacturing and quality to ensure satisfactory resolutions.
  • Coordinates the assigned continuous product improvement projects in order to meet quality and cost objectives, in addition to maintaining the product specification in order to ensure consistent quality products to meet consumer needs and the set target performance
  • Proposes new/innovative promotional tools, on-line initiatives, marketing events, and PR plans in order to build a strong consumer relationship to achieve brand growth objectives within the allocated A&P budget.
  • Assists in the development, and testing of advertisement and the selection of effective media outlets.
  • Initiates & Coordinates Division approved packaging graphics projects working with the creative teams and suppliers in order to meet the set timelines for the product launches.
  • Performs price analysis for new products/SKU’s and for price increases, in order to be submitted to DBM for approval; follows up to ensure timely price fishing audits by the Trade Marketing units.
  • Develop and implement, working closely with Sales and Trade Marketing, the national promotional calendar and overview /support customized regional & customer promotions to ensure brand growth, price strategy and contribution margins are met across regions /channels/customers, as well as brand image is preserved.
  • Work with Trade Marketing units hand in hand with Sales management, to successfully commercialize product launches and key programs to achieve target growth objectives.
  • Conducts periodical market visits, plant visit and periodical brand assessment

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor degree with at least 4 - 5 years’ experience in FMCG.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Must have held a marketing position for at least 2 years with a solid track record
