Main Responsibilities:
- Provide translation of different types of documents from English to Arabic & vice versa and ensuring that the final version of the translated text is grammatically correct and well-expressed.
- Proofread Arabic text in Jumia website.
- Use translation memory software, such as, memoQ, and SDL Trados, to ensure consistency of translation within documents and help efficiency.
- Use specialist Term base, reference materials to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used
- Follow the company’s translation process and adhere to the provided guidelines and checklists.
- Work professionally to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with colleagues and share knowledge.
Job Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A graduate of Faculty of Alsun, Arts, Azhar, or other related translation major
- 2-4 years of experience in translation from English into Arabic and vice versa
- Fluent in both English and Arabic
- Able to work as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving, communications, and relationship-building skills
- Attention to details combined with the ability to meet deadlines
- Previous experience in using CAT tools (Trados, Wordfast, etc..) is a plus.
