Job Description
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses
- Prepare value engineering, cost option, cost strategy estimates and tendering.
- Evaluates Cost Estimating deliverable prepared by architects and engineers, for cost containment
- Site visit to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors
- Read blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates
- Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues
- Use computer software to calculate estimates
- Evaluate a product’s cost-effectiveness or profitability
- Recommend ways to make a product more cost-effective or profitable
Job Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Buildings and infrastructure industry or similar industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Experience in project accounting.
- Responsible for correct implementation of project accounting procedures and requirements.
- Performs project accounting and cost control.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of project control practices, calculation methods/software, standards, and procedures.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
