Job Description
- The salary is 750 Kuwaiti Dinar and it is not negotiable.
- Partners with Sr. DBAs to create physical database structures for small projects based on physical design for development, test, and production environments.
- Performs routine maintenance, including upgrades and patches. Resolves issues via service tickets.
- Performs daily data back-up and recovery as needed.
- Generates scheduled and ad hoc reports.
- Partners with Sr. DBA's and engineers to configure servers for DBMS product installation and small database creation.
- Provides on-call support for assigned databases 24n to include investigating and troubleshooting problems.
- Configures and maintains DBMS product software on small database and application servers.
- Manages conversions of data from legacy/acquired systems as required. Reports escalated issues to Sr. IBA.
- Monitors and adjusts database parameters for better performance.
- Assists application teams with the tuning of SQL statements.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree /College degree Computer Engineering or related field. Certified Oracle Database Administrator
Skills / Qualifications Required:
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Oracle database administration, performance design/tuning, backup, recovery, high availability, and security
- Extensive knowledge of Oracle 11G, Oracle 12C, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
- Experience administering Oracle Databases utilized by enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP and Oracle E-Business Suite
- Experience administering Oracle Databases in a VMWare environment
- Expert in the system and SQL tuning.
- Highly skilled in troubleshooting performance related production issues
- Have knowledge and experience in the areas of Data Warehousing, BI, ETL, Data Aggregation, and Data Access
