Job Description
- Manage activities related to strategic purchasing, material planning and inventory control.
- Determine and provide visibility into supplier lead-times, supply availability, and long term forecasting.
- Implement supply strategies to mitigate supply chain risk and ensure continuity of supply.
- Manage CM and major component suppliers purchase orders to completion while resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Manage the supply chain for single sourced or sole-sourced components, identifying second source opportunities for implementation.
- Organize teams to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
- Generate POs reports and review with contract manufacturer.
- Ensure the CM’s demand matches Mentors,
- Reconcile discrepancies
- Manage inventory and material liability to meet company financial goals.
- Ensure adequate inventory is maintained by CM
- Agree on purchasing parameters with CM /material lead time & MOQ
- Review CM inventory reports and determine if on hand and potential excess is within expectations
- Key strategic supplier management
- Work closely with key suppliers building a relationship.
- Drive Quarterly performance review meetings.
- Manage the implementation of supply chain strategy for cost and lead time reduction.
- Identify high-cost commodities and develop plans for cost reduction.
- Identify long lead commodities and develop plans for lead time reduction.
- Order management
- Review/approve requisitions.
- Generate POs reports and review with a contract manufacturer.
