Factory Buyer, 10th of Ramadan City

As a Factory Buyer you will be a part of the Power Grids Division and Business Unit Transformers based in 10th of Ramadan City, Egypt. In line with the company overall strategy, you will be responsible to execute the sourcing strategy to maximize service to the operations, reduce material cost and increase cash flow. Continuously monitor and improve the performance of the supply base. Every decision should be taken from a total cost of ownership point of view.

Tasks:

Your main responsibilities in this role will include:

• Implementation of sourcing strategies.
• Supplier identification and qualification, and production part approval process.
• RFI, RFQ, negotiations and contract management ,
• Risk mitigation and sourcing projects
• Monitoring and improving supplier performance
• Supporting sales and team up in cross-functional projects with other departments.
• Ensuring compliance with global ABB guidelines ,
• Ensuring that suppliers are compliant with existing agreements

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Placing Purchase Orders generated from SAP and making sure proposed quantities are in line with the actual need. If not, change planning parameters in SAP.
• Leading bid proposals and reviewing requisitions for goods and services.
• Researching and evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, and production and distribution capabilities.
• Analyzing price proposals,
• Negotiating with suppliers.
• Monitoring deliveries to ensure that goods arrive on time,
• Monitoring changes affecting supply and demand, tracking market conditions, price trends, and future markets.
• Standardizing the proposals and procurement process of goods and services.
