Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure that an effective and realistic project or bid schedule is prepared and approved, and that project constraints and assumptions are clearly identified at the beginning of project execution and ensure that project managers are being constantly advised on any deviations from the planned dates and that corrective measures are being introduced to mitigate delays in every aspect of project execution
- Be conversant with the technical and commercial aspects of the project/bid and to have a full understanding of the scope of works.
- Provide input into the development of detailed schedule for engineering, procurement, fabrication, modularization, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- To provide project updates and forecast/trends by actively participating in project’s progress meetings to encourage team members to meet the contractual completion date.
- Generate periodic progress reports such as barcharts, progress s-curves, construction manpower histograms, trending (schedule impacts), progress tables and other ad hoc reports.
- To ensure that scope changes are analyzed and time impacts are reported to project manager.

Job Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
- Bsc of Engineering
Experience:
- 5-7 years minimum experience of the engineering planning activities.
- Min 3 years in a senior Position and Work in the Steel fabrication field.
Skills:
- Good knowledge of engineering/design scope, job working instruction / procedures, good project control practices in planning and scheduling and overall awareness of projects and process industries Ability to follow verbal and or written instructions
- Ability to work under stress and handle stressful situations and meet deadlines
- Good report writing abilities
- Strong teamwork attitude and ability to motivate the team members, significant communication skills, problem solving attitude, fast and multi-task execution capabilities, strong analytical mindset and imaginative problem solving ability
Knowledge:
- Has experience in specialized planning & scheduling software utilization (Primavera and/or MS Project)
- Knowledge of design standards and procedures would be an asset
