Technical Lead - DevOps

Job Description:

Leading a team of DevOps Engineers that is responsible for providing infrastructure solutions, integrating applications, monitoring performance, security issues, automating software build and release capabilities.

Build a culture of collaboration, measurement, and automation; responsible for ensuring that the team works closely and smoothly with their Stakeholders throughout the full service lifecycle, from design through the development process to production support. Apply best practices in our values, our methods, our principles, our practices and our tools to constantly evaluate and re-evaluate in order to deliver software more quickly and more reliably. Responsible for bridging the gaps between systems, software, and operations while engaging and delighting customers.

Responsibilities:

• Design a highly available and scalable production environment to power SWVL application
• Bind development groups activities with operations delivery by defining and implementing the process of Continuous Integration (CI). delivery, deploy, test, release.
• Implementing CI/CD processes - Internal Environment and External Cloud (Amazon - AWS) -Using Kubernetes cluster, Docker, APIGEE, NGINX, Jenkins and Nexus. Creating nightly builds that include: setting up the servers/environment, building the components to Docker images, and microservices, deploy to environment, automated behavioral tests (selenium).
• Building DevOps operation including design, implement and lead configuration management system development and deployment.
• Responsible for all systems in production: Incidents, problems and proactive activities, Embedding the ITIL standards.
• Implement and operate Atlassian applications management (Jira and Confluence) to track and Assess our velocity and effectiveness in delivery as well as our overall quality and reliability.
