Job Description
Star Tech is searching for an experienced electrical designer to join our controls team. The candidate will develop, design and build electrical control systems (electrical panel design and build, PLC programming, etc) for newly built custom automation equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Designs detailed electrical wiring diagrams, control systems and panel layouts, interconnect diagrams and specifies electrical components including material specs and BOM.
- Maintains current knowledge of electrical CAD software.
- Able to program PLC's from various major OEM manufacturers.
- Size servo motors and drives for industrial systems.
- Create servo motor control programs and custom control algorithms.
- Generate bills of material
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with high GPA.
- Knowledge of safety systems and safety components
- Basic understanding of sensors
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Proficient in PLC programming for complex industrial applications.
- Knowledge and experience with servo motor system design and control.
- Proficiency in English
- Understanding of UL508A
