IT Deputy Manager

Job Purpose:

• Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment, network capability and limitation, operating time and form of customer desired results.

Roles & Accountabilities :

Area (1) Networks:

• Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
• Design and deploy networks
• Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure with technical considerations
• Perform network address assignment
• Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration·
• Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers
• Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways
• Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users
• Configure and support wireless access points.

Area (2) IT Support:

• Identify user needs.
• Give end-user support, technical assistance on the different operating systems and resolved technical issues
• Perform or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems
• Provide the essential hardware support for the servers, desktop, laptop computers and printers
• Provides emergency on-call support
• Perform installation, configuration, repairs, maintenance and ongoing usability of desktop computers, laptops, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines
• Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services .

Area (3): Systems and Infrastructures

• Undertake the important responsibility of managing the servers, which typically involves installing and upgrading the servers
• Maintain system efficiency
• Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together·
• Make recommendations for future upgrades
• Analyze and isolate issues
• Evaluate and modify system's performance
• Administer Microsoft Domain Controller, DNS and DHCP
• Administer routers, switches, smartphones, security updates and patches·
• Administer Microsoft exchange e-mail servers
• Administer Microsoft system center
• Create user profiles and accounts
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
• Undertake the tasks of configuration of the hardware devices, testing new software
• Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, tape backup systems
• Perform systems backups and recovery procedures
• Write or modify basic scripts to resolve performance problems· Maintain system documentation and logs
• Perform systems security administration functions·
• Administer the antivirus server.

Area (4) Light Current:

• Administer and configure NVR and DVR
• Administer and configure access control and finger print systems· Audio/visual and access control.
