Job Description
Job Overview:
- The mentor is responsible for performing a variety of character development services in the academy/school. The mentor is an active member of the Character Development Team and assists in developing, implementing and facilitating quality Character Development and Service-Learning experiences.
- The mentor is responsible for preparing and delivering instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Commit to the mission, vision, and values of the academy.
- Responsible for the research and development of curriculum.
- Prepare for the activities and implement the curriculum.
- Attend meetings, training and sessions as may be requested.
- Provide reports and feedback of the students.
- Participate in self-professional development and performance review.
- Participate in self-professional development and performance review of the assistant.
- Observe and evaluate students’ behavior and performance and provide feedback as needed.
- Responsible for the whole group of students and build effective relationships with them.
- Follow-up and calling the students’ parents and build effective relationships with them.
- Perform as a role model for the students.
- Demonstrate validating & understanding of students’ needs.
- Be approachable by the students.
- Act as the focal point between the students’ parents & the academy.
- Complete all required paperwork (documentations, all kinds of evaluations).
- Demonstrate competency with the use of technology that supports learning styles.
- Perform any other duty as may be assigned (Camps, Events, Extra programs, etc…).
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school graduate, university undergraduate or graduate with a degree in any related field
- Teaching diploma or certificate is preferred
- Experience in education, teaching or instructing is an advantage
- Fluency in English and Arabic; both written and spoken
