Job Description

Summary

  • The Traffic Manager will be responsible for overall traffic and process management for The Corporation.
  • The Manager should have a strong background in Traffic and Project Management processes, advertising marketing services, proven Brand management skills, and the ability to manage and lead a team of Supervisors in monitoring deliverables and meeting deadlines.

Group Management:

  • Manages all the traffic services for all projects from request to release.·
  • Manage the distribution of work between staff to allow appropriate resources to handle the volume of work evenly·
  • Ensure the appropriate established schedules are being met, and that the traffic team is pro-actively managing projects through the system·
  • Interview and make recommendations on staff hires for Traffic, train staff on technical and procedural process·
  • Work, meet and communicate with Managers in management of group and personnel·
  • Directs the internal workflow between the traffic, marketing, creative, studio and systems to facilitate projects from input to release, ensuring the proper process is followed·
  • Lead team meetings·
  • Responsible for understanding the costs, time lines and resources needed to complete a project·
  • Responsible for monitoring all brands and deliverables·
  • Audit and reconcile overtime for traffic group·
  • Review time and resource needs submitted by team members on brands·
  • Tracking of brand monthly job status to ensure proper resources are aligned to support the work·
  • Communicate with and update Assistant Vice President regarding group matters on a weekly basis ·

Brand Engagement Management:

  • Overall responsibility for Brand relationships·
  • Manage and monitor the timing and quality of Brand deliverables·
  • Coordinate and communicate with key brand contacts·
  • Coordinate, manage and monitor internal advertising and marketing process·
  • Supervise, delegate, mentor and teach Managers assigned to Brands·
  • Report to COO ·

Staff Management

  • Be a leader, mentor, and provide guidance to team·
  • Coordinate overall staffing plan for traffic department that includes managing and monitoring work in progress·
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and training to traffic supervisors and the marketing team·
  • Create a positive work environment·
  • Oversee staff training and development programs·
  • Initiate requests for hire to HR when open positions exist and interview candidates for positions·
  • Prepare mid year, year end performance reviews and provide ongoing performance feedback to Supervisors and all team members·
  • Ensure Supervisors provide performance feedback to direct reports ·

Marketing & Business Development:

  • Assist COO with departmental growth and developmental initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • College degree in Advertising, Marketing or related field·
  • Gulf Area Experience is a MUST
  • Excellent English communication skills is a MUST
  • 5 + as traffic manager years experience in Advertising, Marketing or related field·
  • Knowledge of Marketing services with concentration in Traffic / Interactive management·
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Marketing Principles and other comprehensive basis of Advertising·
  • Interpersonal skills to develop relationships with Brand teams and coworkers·
  • Experience managing other Managers/Supervisors, ability to delegate tasks to Managers/Supervisors·
  • Experience and good skills managing and reporting to higher level manager·
  • Hands-on management style with strong leadership skills·
  • Team player·
  • Experience with risk management, change management, communications management·
  • Understands Web technologies·
  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills·
  • Expressive and communicative written and verbal skills required.
  • Should have practical management and advertising experience which includes: controls and process, digital, print and general advertising and marketing process, understanding of detailed industry standards, understanding of both on and off-line compliance regulations and detailed understanding of direct and digital project lifecycles from inception to completion. In addition to advertising fundamentals, previous exposure to management of integrated production teams is beneficial.·

  • Ability to be a proactive self-starter with a strong work ethic, who understands the details within a larger context and demonstrates good judgment.·
  • Must be flexible in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities; ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple, detailed tasks.·
  • Must exhibit high energy, enthusiasm, positive attitude and poise; be articulate and confident.
