Job Description
- Manage multiple projects in parallel which may require remote as well as onsite/face-to-face presence
- Manage internal and external stakeholders efficiently, focusing on customer success always
- Communicate clearly, effectively, and in an uncomplicated and concise manner
- Build a clear understanding of the project scope and customer expectations
- Create a baseline plan including resourcing required (and maintain this plan with regular updates throughout the project)
- Lead the project team from requirements gathering to development, execution, and completion
- Conduct risk assessments for projects
- Manage issues and risks to the most effective conclusion while ensuring that all goals and objectives are met
- Maintain standards and monitor scope with project quality
- Organize meetings to discuss project goals and progress
- Prioritize items while balancing between multiple factors (time, scope, budget, urgency, customer, etc.)
- Provide updates on all aspects of the project(s) including schedule, scope, risks, issues, and financials
- Contribute to the strategic plan and target of the project(s)
- Build and maintain effective professional relationship with key external stakeholders
- Operate independently, steering projects at the task and deliverable level
- Provide project information and metrics that are consistently up to date for customers as well within the corporate tools and databases
- Influence and adherence to processes, guidelines, and delivery requirements across the delivery organization
- Conduct post project retrospectives to understand areas of improvement
Job Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters university degree with a business or technical emphasis (or equivalent)
- 10+ years’ experience in a project management role with similar IT industry
- Managing multiple large projects
- PMP or equivalent project management certification highly recommended
- Proven leadership skills and Strong communications that are effective among various levels and types of project team members and stakeholders
- Managing multiple projects, tasks, deliverables, timelines, and issues
- Complex stakeholder management (including Executive and C-Level – both internal and external)
- Risk management covering a wide range of potential types of risk across many projects
- Expertise in conflict resolution, and creative in problem-solving
- Comfortable with a variety of tools and communication mechanisms
- Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability
- Experience in Agile teams
- Proficiency with a wide range of software tools but not limited to project management software (eg. PSA, Issue tracking, etc)
- PMO experience is an asset
- Contract negotiation
- Significant experience with the company and solutions
