Job Description
- Manages and oversees overall supply chain operations, including purchasing and inventory of materials as well as selection of vendors.
- Manages and supervises staff responsible for achieving the company’s supply chain requirements.
- Negotiates and places commercial terms and purchasing agreements to set up long term agreements with suppliers.
- Ensures that suppliers meet quality requirements and applicable regulatory requirements and initiates appropriate action when supplier quality or compliance deficiencies are identified.
- Develops; reviews and approves existing purchasing procedures to maintain economy and efficiency of operation.
- Ensures cross functional coordination between logistical units and other divisions in order to maximize service level and optimize company supply chain performance in terms of efficiency and cost.
- Improves supplier performance with respect to product delivery and quality while keeping acquisition cost, transportation cost, and inventory at a minimum.
- Develops and performs assessment of supply chain processes, researches on alternative approaches and cost/benefit/risk analysis.
- Supervise Communication with suppliers to support marketing and sales teams with the required product information to successfully perform their marketing and construction mission.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science or pharmacy is a MUST
- Minimum 15 years of experience in senior supply chain management position in pharmaceutical industry is a MUST
- Knowledge and understanding of supply chain management, distribution methods and transportation services and inventory management.
- Ability to quickly identify ongoing process improvement opportunities across supply chain operations and identify and develop solutions.
- Strong negotiation and contracting skills with demonstrated success in managing complex supplier relationships.
- Excellent English, verbal / written communication
