Job Description
- Receive, review and process timely shipping and delivery documentations from suppliers, forwarders, clearing agents and insurance companies
- Follow up, internally, with the local logistics teams and the Commercial department on internal shipments and, externally, with forwarders, clearing agents, insurance brokers and suppliers on all issues related to external shipments
- Receive/follow up on execution of item requests to ensure they are properly shipped, cleared, insured and distributed in accordance to set business requirements
- Set up and keep up-to-date a database of local, national and international forwarders and suppliers ensuring records' accuracy:
- Keep accurate records, review information, consolidate reports & take action where necessary.
- Collect data, analyze & prepare reports as directed by Line Manager.
- Develop relationships both internal & external to achieve objectives within timescales.
- Communicate relevant information to Internal/external parties whilst presenting the Company in a professional manner.
