Job Description

  • To assist the department manager in developing and maintaining the Business Continuity Management System which include the various aspects of the business continuity governance and initiatives and establishing the efficient coordination with the related departments to effectively respond to threats such as disasters or major incidents and protect the business interests of SIDF.
  • BCM- BIA: Review and validate BIA information provided by departments and ensure signoffs are finalized, and to review the progress of BIA activities and report it to the BCM Manager.
  • BCM- TRA: Review and validate BC TRA information provided by departments and ensure signoffs are finalized, and to review the progress of BC TRA activities and report it to the BCM Manager.
  • BCM- Planning: Review and validate BC plans information provided by departments and ensure signoffs are finalized, and to review the progress of planning activities and report it to the BCM Manager.
  • BCM- Crisis Management (CM): Review and validate CM plans information provided by CM members, and review collected data related to incident response and recovery. Assist in confirming the nature and extent of the incident and participate in damage assessment resulting from disasters. Review progress of preventive measures and corrective actions and prepare incidents statistics and trends, and provide recommendations.
  • BCM- Testing and Exercising: Review and validate test scenarios and ensure signoffs are finalized for test documentations. Review progress of testing and report it to the BCM Manager. Receive captured issues and escalations from the test and BCM champions and report them to concerned stakeholders.
  • BCM- Training and Awareness: Review and provide feedback on the prepared awareness materials and to ensure attendance levels are maintained. Review the progress of awareness activities and report it to the BCM Manager. Review readings of metrics and results of tests/knowledge and report it to the BCM Manager.
  • BCM-Policy and Procedures: Maintain BCM Governance (policy, committees and processes) and recommend enhancements/updates for the existing’s to the BCM Manager
  • BCM-Reporting: Prepare various reports, provide the needed inputs or collect data as required by the BCM activities. Circulate draft reports to stakeholders for review and feedback and raise final drafts and recommendations to BCM Manager
  • Project Management: Represent Business Continuity team in selected projects.
  • Management Reporting: Provide various reports to Business Continuity Manager regarding Business Continuity issues and matters.
  • 3rd Party Relations: Respond to internal and external audit reports, devise preventative measures, and implement corrective actions. Participate in RFP preparation, proposal evaluation, vendor selection and recommendations related to Business Continuity procurements.
  • People Management: Act as a contributing team member; within BCM Department; and to provide bottom-up feedback to Business Continuity Manager. In addition, to provide guidance to Business Continuity champions and other relevant teams.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the line manager.
